I know it’s a heavy steel guitar but some of us never leave the house with are steels or move them.

Nice guitar Johnie, I'd buy it if I wasn't so damn old. I'll have to stick with my old '78 BMI until I croak....JH in Va.

Poo-Pooing a great instrument is sacrilege.

The Sierra might be a little heavy, but the weight has been modified with the two (2) cases. How does it stack up against a big Bass Fiddle or a concert Baldwin...????

Be glad you have a great guitar, that is a pleasure to sit behind. With the Interchangeable Pickups & a great amp, this baby will make some sweet Music...

amazing deal. these are wonderful instruments, it's a shame they don't seem to get the respect that other major brands enjoy. I'm tempted to buy, but a D-12 is just a whole lotta guitar!

how many knee levers? can we see the undercarriage?

I think Johnie King has a good idea. Maybe make the second guitar with a Maple, Hickory or Walnut body. That would make a great second Sierra. Hell, you may start a new fashion....

With good planning, this is a doable deal. I once bought a MICA MSA, it was a junker. So my friend & I (both woodworkers) got some beautiful birdsye maple & made another Cabinet, complete with inlays. That was a nice PSG.

I pm'd you but got no response. I'm in the market for a d12, and love my s12 sierra. If the are enough parts to mimic my s12's copedent I will buy this. Can you tell us the copedent? I don't wanna be stuck looking for a bunch of sierra parts, and it doesn't look like there are enough rods and bellcranks for my extended setup.

Dan I’m not sure I understand but if i keep the back neck an put a pad on back An leave undercarriage untouched u would have 8 pedals an five knees to work with. There is 13 Bell cranks on c6 neck that would go with sale

It's not universal, it's extended E9 with a low G# and E below the 10th, B. Basically a standard setup but I need tool rods and bellcranks to lower and raise the low e on the left knees, and raise G# to A on the B pedal. I don't play the C6 but I am trying to start. I'd probably setup the c6 standard with higher strings added, but I'm not quite sure. Any fairly standard setup would probably do for now on C6 neck. I'd also like to help prevent such a beautiful instrument from being dismantled.

Your right Charley some good maple from a hundred year old cabinet or table. Should sound. Sweet. Sierra hybrid in maple.
