Hey gang! Listening to Matsuda's Alcatraz Islanders has really made me want to learn 'Hawaiian Hulu Eyes." If anyone has a tab or can point me to one, I'd be most grateful.
Aloha!
Here's a link to a fantastic performance:

I'd be interested in getting the tab for this song also. I've been listening to the Alcatraz Islanders lately and woke up humming Hawaiin Hula Eyes. |

I might be going a bit of topic here, but with the relative obscurity of the song, I think it unlikely a tab exists. (tomorrow, someone will post a copy)
I would suggest that, with Youtube's slow down feature, you can tab it yourself easily, and in the process, you will learn more about the piece. Figure out the chord progression first. Bring up Tux guitar, or similar, and youtube together on one screen and tab away. _________________ Don't go in the water after lunch. You'll get a cramp and drown. - Mother. |

I back up several hulaus here in Seattle, not rare at all. This mele is done quite often. I learned it from a lead sheet and listening. _________________ Jack Aldrich

It doesn't seem too terribly obscure (the version I first heard was Alfred Apaka: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTEt_trhkhE ) but yeah, I don't know if a tab exists, or even if it did, if it would be in your preferred tuning.
I did check Basil Henriques list of tabs that you can order, no dice there.
Hey, but Scotty's Music (run by his son Michael Scott) appears to have (as of last November when he sent me the catalog) that song in C6 as tabbed out for solo steel guitar by Jerry Byrd. It was listed at $5, you can try contacting him via email...
