| There are no tension adjustments, outside of the turnbuckles that adjust the (slightly critical) cable tension. (Though some players stretch or swap the lowering springs to change the feel of the pedals that lower strings.). Also, there are no timing adjustments, other than the one extra hole on each pedal bell crank. It "is what it is", In a manner of speaking. Fun to play, but really limited compared to modern steels. |

| Changing the lower return springs really helps on the pedal that lowers the E's. |

| Hi Jack. Take an original one to a hardware store- and get one (or a couple of them) with less tension that is longer than you need and simply cut it a titch shorter than the original. IMHO the original springs had more tension than was needed and made the guitar harder to play. Be sure to check that not only do the new ones pull the lower back but also keep it back while raising- especially the 4th string for the E-F# raise if you have that on there. |
