Not sure if this has been shared here, apologies if so. I can't help but smile when Buddy rips into his solo. Phil Baugh as well:

When I worked for Dickens for a year, I had many great times and memories.

We had a show date in New Jersey where I'm from. I had so many Friends and relatives show up the place was packed. Earlier that day, Dickens came to my house with the whole band for spaghetti and meatballs. Our house was only 1,000 square feet so it was jammed in there at the dinner table Tater's feet would never touch the floor. My folks got a kick out of that.

Later we had a guitar pull at the house. Beer, food and music. Lots of stories were told and I have it on cassette tape somewhere.

I have many good stories over that year. Including some about Buddy.

Here's a Seely clip from "That Nashville Music" with same set but different shirts. It could be from the same day or week of shooting. The caption says "1983" but wouldn't it have been earlier because the Black SKH #1. I say 1980. Does anybody know the year Emmons got the black SKH LeGrande?

If Buddy is playing the first SKH LeGrande in these videos, I would agree with you robert that it is earlier than 1983. My first trip to Nashville was June, 1983 and the Emmons' guitar company was introducing the new all pull guitar. Certainly Buddy's prototype would have been before that.

"I think the first LeGrandes, excluding prototypes, were sold in 1979. Mine is #084L as I recall...Jerry"

And here's some info from Wiki:

"That Nashville Music (originally titled That Good Ole Nashville Music) was an American television program featuring country music artists performing their biggest hits of the day. The series aired in syndication from 1970-85."

robert, interesting. Thanks for that info. I played a gig with Jerry Fletcher this past Sunday lol(he's a very good guitar player as well!). The next time I see him, I'm going to pick his brain a little more on this.
