Obviously different people learn differently, and my brain damage gives me certain learning disadvantages, but I've been studying and trying to comprehend music theory all my life and did have bits of it figured out, but it was vague and poorly understood and integrated into my music.
Forum member Mike Perlowin's Music Theory in the Real World is, hands down, the most understandable book on the topic I have ever seen. I have learned more already in 31 pages than in the 60 years since I began this pursuit.

| I've heard many good things about this book. I've heard tell there was once a steel guitar specific supplement for this book - does anyone have any info about that? |

If you ask Mike he'll send it to you free. I haven't started on that part yet, but I've got it. I'm going thru the base book once first.
