Old hat to most of you I know, but having just returned from the Dallas show, this was on my mind. I have heard Chuck play at many steel shows over the years, but he just gets better and better. Not only is he a great steel player, he is a great guitarist and great singer as well...besides building wonderful steel guitars. He plays great lead guitar work behind the other steel players at the steel shows. if you havent heard Chuck play and sing, you owe it to youself...and a really nice, down to earth guy as well. He deserves more recognition, IMHO.

Yes, awesome talent. I haven't been to Dallas recently but was there a few years back and heard Chuck playing his Telecaster. Everything he played was so tasteful, musical, and perfect for the song at the time. One of the best guitar players I have heard in my lifetime...

Rarely ever reads charts, just puts together what really enhances any song he plays.Listened to and have known him since I believe since 1965,Kenny Vernon days in Albq. N.M.

As much as I love Chuck’s playing, I absolutely love what he doesn’t play...one of the most tasteful players I know...

I agree with everything said about Chuck Back. A friend for a long time. He is the best and always has a smile on his face.
Thanks Chuck for playing with me at the Dallas show.
BTW, Kenny Vernon was there also Ray Jenkins and he and Chuck did a great job on "Sing a Sad Song" written by the great Wynn Stewart. Both of those guys are at the top of my favorites list.

Whether playing guitar, singing, playing steel or building steel's Chuck always brings it.. I first met Chuck and his brother Terry in Albuquerque at the Caravan East. He has been a dear friend for going on 40 yrs. Chuck has so much talent, and always shines. And like my friend John Macy said, he knows when not to play..
