My Peavey Nashville 112 is a real workhorse. I gig with it a few times a week. However, I have gone through 2 reverb tanks. The original crapped out 6 months ago - the tiny wire on one of the spring driver coils broke. I replaced the tank (with an old one I had laying around), and now this one has died too.
I'm considering retrofitting one of accutronics solid state reverb modules in place of the spring reverb in my N-112. Yes, I know I'll need to come up with 5v, and I'll have to find the correct place on the main board to connect send and return.
I just wonder if any of you have tried doing this on your amp?
And before you ask, yes, I always have a reverb pedal wired in to my pedal board, in case I need to play through a bass amp, or if the amp built-in reverb fails. I just want to make the built-in reverb bulletproof. _________________ "You call that thing a guitar?" |
