Mike...just want you to know...that I have called your name out to God. Mike keep your faith up...and keep looking up. Its a mater of simply Loving and Believing God. Jesus said "By his Stripes we are Healed" The Lord is not Slack Concerning his Promise. Mike You belong to God...So you hold on to that Promise with all your heart...and let God work his Healing power for you...And remember this "When you are down to Nothing...that means that "God is up to something.

God bless you Mike...and I will Continue to pray for you.

I've only just picked up this post Mike. So glad that you were able to get a quick diagnosis and treatment. It was a year ago this weekend that you were in London with Reba. Best wishes to you and Joanie.

Mike,

We are praying for your full healing and recovery. God is a healer!

I will be asking others to do the same.

Until then, I wanted to leave you with this song in the hopes that it will provide comfort to you during this time. I think it will be a blessing to you. It sure has been a blessing to me. Maybe you could do an instrumental on this song once you get back to doing the Family Reunion shows...or Dallas.

God Bless,

Don

Mike, I am pulling and praying for you. Since we lost Buddy you are my favorite Steeler. You are in good hands with God and today,s medicine.
I have had two bouts with Cancer last three years.
Had a tumor and upper lobe of left lung removed did six weeks of Chemo was OK for a year it cropped up again in my chest. Did six weeks of Radiation, have been clean a year and a half thanks to God and the Reading (PA) Hospital. I did four gigs this month and will be 82 this April.
Maybe the Good Lord has been watching over the Steelers. Keep the Faith.

Mike, I went through a similar experience early last year with cancer surgery then hours a later a stroke. I feel lucky to be walking the planet and still able to play and teach steel guitar. I had an angel of a wife, too, and support from friends, family, and encouragement from many right here on the forum. God has more plans for you and I, it seems. We'll be praying for you and lovely Joanie. --- John McClung

I saw and spoke with Rhonda Vincent and Jimmy Fortune about three weeks ago and I asked them about Mike’s recovery. They said as far as they knew at that time he was doing good. Well thank God for that.

Hello Mike,
You don't know me but my wife Kathleen and I are big fans. I had a similar experience in 2006. I was diagnosed with cryptogenic cirrhosis of the liver which means an unknown cause. On our 3rd wedding anniversary I was sent home and was told I had two weeks to live. Transplant was not an option due to liver cancer. The 4 hour drive home with my wife's father and mother was not a pleasant one with the women crying in the back seat and me too weak to communicate.

It was then God spoke to me and said "This isn't over yet". We had just pulled into the driveway and when my wife opened the door to the house the phone began to ring. It was the surgical team. They needed me back to UCSF hospital saying it might not be cancer after all. I was still going to die, but I could be a candidate for a transplant.

Long story short; A medic flight by PHi got me back to UCSF in time on a Friday night and by Sunday I had a new liver. That was over 12 years ago, and God is still blessing and my angel Kathleen has been by my side the whole time.

Glory to God for your miracles and mine.
