Maybe it being packed in a crate made of 2" oak boards?

(Actually, all that stuff shouldn't weigh more than 65 lbs.)

I have weighed an MSA classic d-10 in the case. My scale read 65 lbs..

That beautiful thing was my first axe. MSA S-10, circa 1977. I miss her.
She's probably been eatin' a lot since then.
