Would you prefer Hall of Fame reverb/delay (or RV3) between guitar and volume pedal,,,,or between volume pedal and amp? I've tried both way,,,can't really tell much difference,,if any?

I prefer the reverb after the pedal because putting the reverb before the pedal cuts off the "tails" and leaves a dead sound if you use moderate reverb levels. Of course, if you use very little reverb, it doesn't matter as much.

I use more reverb than a lot of players, and here's an example of how good it can sound on certain songs:

The only time I've ever heard of using a reverb pre-volume pedal is for a need for dead cut-off in the recording studio. I've never encountered such a need and I find such a dead cut to be awful feeling and awful sounding.

How about my set-up: guitar out into 'Tube MP Studio' then to vol pedal out to Hall of Fame reverb to amp ? Am I messing up the tone too much?

Thanx,
Jim
