Steve Gunder, SDF bars in Topeka, is still going, as well.
He offers many different materials

What is "standard"?

I have seen SO many sizes mentioned it seems there is no standard nowadays. And by "standard" so you mean just size - or a specific material. A lot of variations there as well, from the cheapest "bright chrome" steel bars to all sorts of alternatives.

I really like Michael Hillman's powder coated bars, sold here on the forum. Warm to the touch, easier for pulloffs and hammer-ons.

My 1" bar is a Nu-Generation bar. I love it. My only gripe is, that after only a few months, there are spots where the finish has dulled. Still works great though.
