I have a Boss Katana amp,,does not have an external speaker jack. Could the "Phones?Record Out" jack be used as external speaker jack since it does kill the onboard speaker? Probably a dumb question but I would like to try a TT12 speaker that I have in a cabinet. |

The phones and record out probably won't have enough power to drive a speaker. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, NV400, NV112 . Playing for 54 years and still counting. |

You would need an external amp to an external speaker to use the record/phones out and then have to adjust gain for no distortion.
Depends on what you are trying to do is what it boils down to eventually as to whether it is worth the effort, extra gear/cartage/setup. _________________ ShoBud The Pro 1
