Hi, I recently imported from USA an used steel king amp serial number M1436245. Does anybody knows if is possible to change connections inside the panel in order to switch to 220v or need to change the power unit inside? Thank you eugenio

Good question for Sam Marshall, who is or was an engineer with Fender and was instrumental in the development of the Steel King.

He is a member of this Forum.

Looks like you need to change the transformer.

Bill, may I ask where you got those part numbers? The schematic shows different numbers for the Xformers.

Mike, they're under the transformer pin outs on the power supply page, (page 3).
(I fixed the 5 to 4 on the 120V number above.)

A transformer change is necessary unless you can find a good 230V to 120V step down transformer. I recalled using such transformers when touring Europe in the USAF band with US wired equipment.

These should be commonly found around US military bases.
