This could get wild, but I thought I might as well ask anyway- I have a "73" LDG and I think the pickup is getting pretty tired - I don't really care if isn't the Sho Bud sound - I actually like a little warmer tone. What are you using?

Just put a Gene Turner PowerBoost on my shobud 12. Incredible sustain and tone. I also had a Turner Powerboost put on my new BMI. You can hear both of them at the St. Louis Show.

I have an LDG about that same vintage with a BL710 installed. A great improvement over the stock pickup.

I think Jerry Wallace can do rewinding of older ShoBud single coil pickups to be just like his TruTones !! you should give him a call.

Thanx Guys - I was thinking along the same lines - I have a chance to try out a 710 - I know Jerry can do a great job on rewinds - He has done some for me - I was just wondering if I should leave the old pickup alone to keep the Guitar original.

I would leave the original pickup alone. You may want to put it back some day. I tried a 710 on one of my LDG's and did not like it. I put the original back in.

I hope this isn't heresy in the church, but are there any LDG (or Sho-Bud in general)players using a George L's E-66? I've heard at least one negative comment, so flame suit is on.
