I wrote this over coffee, I hope it means something to you all. Later mates!!
Steel guitar men, we are a dying breed, like dinosaurs with the hunger to feed, a country song with pain and desire, there’s nothing like the sound of a bar over wires.
With it’s soulful moan as it weaves and wanders, up the scale and down to yonder, it’ll leave you chilled to the bone, most of the day and all night long.
When the crying is done and the song is over, you can be sure it was steel guitar that made the difference.
Just like a writer that uses his mind and a pen, we use our imagination, pedals and strings , we are of course that odd ball lot that most don’t get it’s not our fault,
When all is said and all is done, we’ll be there in a heartbeat son, to save a song that’s heading for the bin, after all we are steel guitar men!

Really straight and to the point. It does seem we are becoming as rare as Common Since, Integrity, and so many other things that made us and this Country what we once were. I guess we are becoming extinct like so many other great things.   |
