Bobbe told me that the black mica Sho~Bud Pro 111 Custom (on page one of this thread) in his store was a former lacquer body that he had Mike Cass cover in mica to his order. Bobbe could tell some whoppers, but it was always with a glint in his eye. When some of his tales got too tall we would both burst out laughing because of his audacity. He loved nothing better than to hold court with 3 or 4 people in the store and finish the day with a sale of a guitar or two. My wife thought the world of him, and always enjoyed a trip to his store with me.
I have never met anyone in the USA who had a bad word to say about BS, and why should they? He was a one off for sure and larger than life, but he had a really kind streak for animals and people in need. _________________ Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator. Bobbe said whatever came to his mind that would benefit him at the moment. Thats not disrespect, it's fact. Those of us who really knew him get that. _________________ Johnny "Dumplin" Cox
