I remember Al. We had a gig at the VFW in Yucaipa California and Al walked in. Let him come up on stage to sing a few. He had a great voice. RIP

Leo, thanks for posting the sad news about Al... He was also a long time friend of mine and a fine steeler & vocalist as well as a video camera operator. I have a couple of great videos he shot for be before I left SoCal for Virginia. He sent me a copy of a CD he had made which featured him on vocals and steel... Before that I'd never been aware that he could sing as well as he did. All I'd ever seen him do in SoCal was play steel..... I'm saddened by this but I know he'll RIP as he was a good guy........JH in Va.

Al Parrett was a Southern California Pioneer Musician like many others before him. Red Rohnes,Art,Sanchez, Carl West, Joe Baker,Tom Brunley,Ralph Mooney, Billy Mize,Sammy Watson & many many more. R.I.P. All Musicians who are gone from this earth. Crying or Very sad
