1. Can't play like Curly Chalker.
2. Can't play like Buddy Emmons.
3. Can't play like LLoyd Green.

I have plenty more, but since I'm limited to only three...

OK, I like being me anyway... *sigh*

Seriously,

1. I hate that I can't play everything that pops into my head. Even if I can find it, I often don't have the dexterity to play it.

2. I hate lugging it around, it's too heavy (old MSA SD-12).

3. I hate breaking a string that I can't play without, in the middle of a song where I really need that string.

1. Tuning all those pedals

2. Lugging the heavy sucker around

3. Setting it up and tearing it down

Solution for me? MSA 12 string Super Slide. Sets up in a flash and tunes in less than a couple of minutes. Light as my lunch pail and sounds great. I'm sure lap steel isn't for everyone but man its working real well for me.

1. "C" Pedal (needs polishing)...

2. I meant to hit string 1, instead I hit string 2, loud "thwang" of obviously wrong note. Bandmembers look at me funny...

3. String 7.

1)Little parts that fall between pull rods.
2)Singers who jump and make the stage wobble.
3)Steel guitarists who, arrive late, pack their stuff, hold out their hand, and thus do not help with set up or tear down, giving all a bad rep.
Charlie here is your
Cup Holder

2. Carrying the guitar to and from the gig;

3. Lifting the guitar out of the car and carrying it back to the house.

And the hose clamp is perfect; it's adjustable for both longnecks and fatboys.

I should have known this would come out of Austin. Keep it wierd!

I agree with Rick. The 12 string SuperSlide is where it's at. I was always the last guy set up and the last guy to finish packing up.
