I'm not in the market but I contacted the seller and told him he was likely $800 under priced right after he posted it. I hate to see someone get unknowingly taken advantage of, especially when we will likely see that reposted for sale here or on Reverb or ebay. He said he couldn't play anymore due to health issues. He thanked me for the info and said he didn't care, he just wanted it to go to a good home. Hopefully it did. |

It seems like Steel Guitars are mostly for a certain age group, and most of us have some health issues. I have loaned out my first Lap Steel to a younger guy I work with and he really liked it and has asked me to build him one. Yesterday another guy I work with has an 8 year old daughter taking piano lessons and she is very good for her age. I asked him if he would like to take my first one home as well. Hopefully she is a natural and likes the sound of a steel. He took it home but as of yet, I haven't heard how it went. I think this is a good way to expose and spread the word and maybe turn on a new generation to a beautiful instrument. _________________ Currently own, 6 Groner-tone lap steels, one 1953 Alamo Lap steel, Roland Cube, Fender Champion 40 |
