First of all, I have nothing to do with this sale. I do like old "The Professional" D-10s, however, and was checking this one out. I noticed that the strings were ancient and that the pedal/rod setup was really off.
Then I looked at the pickups, and noticed what looked like an Emmons on the C6th neck. And then I looked at the underside...uh... -L-
Does this guitar have the E9th on the bottom neck? It looks to only have three changes on the C6th neck. And it looks 100% stock. See pick below:
The guitar is a beauty and can be seen at:

Cannot figure how it works though... |

maybe it's just my computer monitor -- but the body looks like particle board. |

Looks like the original owner who had it custom built(Sho-bud would build it any way you wanted it back then); wanted 6 pedals and two knee levers for the E9(top)neck, and two pedals and one knee lever for the bottom neck(he probably played a Bigsby before his first sho-bud).
Looks like he favored the very old style sound on that bottom neck also; is why the different pickup.
Also that is NOT particle board...ha...that Sho-bud is ALL Birdseye Maple and that is a texturing that Sho-bud did on the underside; to cut down on noise.
Also looks like who ever set it up for the picture; didn't put the pedal board squezzed between the collar and rubber stopper and put the wrong rods on as the two shorter rods should be on the two pedals for the bottom(c6) neck as those crossbars are raised to cross over the instep....
What else did you wanna know??

It's a Day setup E9th, with pedals doing some of the common knee lever changes. Here's what it looks like to me:
P1 - standard C pedal
P2 - standard B pedal
P3 - standard A pedal
P4 - raises E's to F
P5 - lowers G#'s to G
P6 - raises F#'s to G (or maybe G#)
P7 - C6th standard P7
P8 - C6th standard P6
LKL - lowers E's to D#
RKL - lowers 2 & 9 on E9th, string 5 (G to F#) on C6th
It's a very powerful copedent for its day.

Dang! You guys are something else. I can't even figure that out with the guitar in front of me and I owned a professional at one time.

Very good b0b at eye-balling where those barrel tuners are. I would say that P6 is lowering the 2nd string to D and 8th string to Eb.
I agree; that is a very very powerful set up for it's day.
