If you love Silvertones this is for you. Here is the top of the line Aristocrat model 1367. This guitar features a solid spruce top, and flamed maple sides, and back. The guitar is fairly clean( still has some wear and checking, as its vintage) but needs a little work.
Here is the lowdown. I got this beauty from the original owner. He played it around the house, and it sat in its case most of the time. The good is that it's clean and beautiful.
The guitar does need a good going over. The road bump pickups have very low outputs, and measure open. They need rewind or replaced( though they produce some sound). Luckily these are cheap and available.
A pair is around 150 to 175 used. The guitar has a small section on the cutaway where the binding and side are unglued. It's an easy fix( and not needed but for purist fix it)
Lastly the frets and action are good as is the neck, but it has a high fret around the 14 th fret that makes it fret out when playing around the 12th-13th fret.
I believe the pickguard is not original, and it's funky.
This guitar with working pups, and as it sits would easily be 1200+ range on the bay. Look it up. Dealers are asking 1500 to 2500 for them. They only made this model a few years. It's a killer, and pretty as the pics show.
Steal this one for$795.00 shipped.
A little love and you have a very collectible and rare guitar, that's incredible playing and sounding too.
It's that nice!!!
Will ship in an old hard shipboard case. (SOLD on another Forum)

Those Speed-bump pickups sound really good when working. Could be something in the wiring.
I have those on a Kay that I use for slide.
Even if they need to be rewound, I think they are worth restoration.

You are correct sir. Speed bump pickups are killer sounding. They are also available used for a reasonable price too. that's all this beauty really needs to really take it over the top. You wont find many nicer or rarer Silvertones around. Heck solid woods and brazi board to boot. No laminates on this model.

I went to high school with a guy who had this model but all black. It had a Bigsby on it so it may have been slightly newer. He had his in 65, but I don't how long he had had it. I always lusted for it.
These were made by Kay I believe.
Later I played pedal steel in a group he formed.

Mine is older without the neck cutaway (L7 shaped)
It is made of solid birdseye maple but is brown sunburst and has Kay on the headstock.
Yours is the nicest one I have ever seen.
