Dear Pedal Steel Players,

We learned to associate the image of a bare light bulb with the metaphor,"A bright idea" when we were young.Turns out, there is significance to this association. Recent credible research suggests that people are more creative when a room is lit with a bare light bulb. The research can be found in a new book titled,"Sensation,The New Science of Physical Intelligence." I decided to experiment with this idea by placing a partially exposed bright light bulb next to my steel when I practice. I seem to be more creative when the bulb is turned on. Try it for yourselves.

Incandescent and fluorescent lights were used for the research.

I don't agree. As for evidence, I submit the following (who wouldn't know if there was a bulb in the room):

Jeff Healy
Ray Charles
Jose Feliciano
Ronnie Milsap
Dianne Schuur
Leon Payne
Stevie Wonder

Very Happy
