Are there any builders or suppliers out there who will sell bell cranks that fit on square shafts? I've seen lots of different designs and most of them look machine made - either bent, stamped, or by some other mass production method. I find it hard to believe each builder makes these one by one. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/ggefell/ |

Of course they don't build them one by one. Have you actually called some of the builders? They would probably sell to you. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, NV400, NV112 . Playing for 54 years and still counting. |

Williams guitars will sell you a kit with crank pull rod retaining spring and even tuning nut and spacer. Check their web sight. |

I looked at the Williams kit but I'll have to reach out to some builders. I'd be looking for enough to outfit an entire new steel - maybe 16 to 20. If I have to pay $30 apiece I'll go broke quick! _________________ https://www.facebook.com/ggefell/ |

It's going to be expensive for sure. Mullen has them for $13.00 each, but I can't tell if they are square or hex. I know the G2 has hex shafts, but I think my Royal precision has square shafts. It's worth a phone call. Carter are around $20,but I really recommend you don't use them. I doubt you will find them much cheaper. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, NV400, NV112 . Playing for 54 years and still counting. |

Al Brisco has the Carter parts, see if he will sell you Magnum bellcranks, they're more like the late Legrande parts and should be less money. |

Magnum bellcranks are $20 each, but they look a whole lot better than the pro ones. Carter used 2 different size cross shafts, 5/16" and 3/8". I believe the smaller one is for the Magnum. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, NV400, NV112 . Playing for 54 years and still counting. |

Thanks for the research and information! Jerry Fessenden also said he’d sell me some when he reloads his supply. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/ggefell/ |
