I need to get in touch with Robbie flint or Paul Franklin before the 27th. I have two Alan Jackson songs and have a week to learn them. Or if someone has the tab they are gone country, and she's got the rhythm. E 9 tuning. Plz help. Lol. _________________ 1977 Red Lacquer MSA Classic S-10;

Jeff, If you take the time to learn them from the recording, or get even close, it will benefit you more. |

Jeff,
I totally get it that you are needing to learn a couple of tunes ASAP but going directly to Paul or Robbie appears slightly , well, different.
Gary above states it well. As players over "time" , just like any other instrument, we study, we hear phrases, we recognize them and we apply them. We hear common phrases on records and recognize the similarities with what we have already learned.
There may be some players here on the forum who can help with the tab for these songs, maybe one will reach out to you.
I play those songs but I don't have any tab for them.
IF you lived near me I would invite you over and help you with them.
Best to you

Damir, you can go back to bed now, you learned something new already today. No need to waste the rest of the day ! _________________ Emmons L-II , Fender Telecasters, B-Benders

Well a quick internet search will give you the chord progressions and lyrics for both those songs, which should get you on the road.. |

Jim, this wasn't a serious question from me. I thought the OP made a funny post because of the "lol" at the the end. But I sure wish to play "Tear Stained Letter" exactly like Gery. _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

What’s really funny is that it would not be terribly out of character for Paul Franklin to pop in here and answer the question.

Go on YouTube. Best place I have seen for learning new tunes. The 2 Alan Jackson tunes are fairly simple by ear. Playing by ear you should be able to get close enough. |
