I just bought this GFI SD10 Expo yesterday...as soon as I sat down to it and played it, I could tell it was the right steel for me. The pedal and knee action is great and it sounds good to my ears. I had owned a GFI that was a pre-ultra or expo model, and it was a great steel, but they seemed to have made some nice improvements to them since then. I was going to give up on pedal steel for a while, but when this opportunity came along, I couldnt pass it up. I was pretty discouraged with my playing lately, but after watching a dvd and listening to it, I decided it wasnt quite as bad as I thought. This steel only weighs 30 pounds, so it is the right fit for me.

Congratulations! A new guitar can be inspiring and I've heard good things about GFI. Best of luck on your PSG journey!

I play a GFI Expo SD 10 also. I love it. I've had it for 6 years and still not tired of it.
