I'm looking for a 50's original Fender Stringmaster D8, with case and legs. Must be in good to excellent condition, with everything working. Good sound is the priority.
I'm located in the San Francisco Bay Area in California.
Please PM.

I just saw that there is a fairly nice looking 1971 Stringmaster D8 available from Austin Vintage Instruments. Only trouble is, it is pricey at $2,450. They are asking too much, but if money is not an issue for you, it may be worth a look on their website.

I have a 1954 26" scale, that I never play. I may as well sell it. Is that what you want? Thanks, Tommy.....

Tommy, do you you by chance have a Stringmaster T8 you'd be willing to sell? I'm not in the market at the moment, but sometime this year I may have the money to buy one. Just checking. It sounds like a D8 that you were mentioning here. Any pics?

The only Stringmaster I still have is a D-8... I also have two Dual 8 Pro's with the trapezoid pick-ups, that I'm going to sell someday soon. I never play them, and it's time to thin the herd. Thanks, Tommy.....

What can you tell me about the D-8? Age, finish, tone, asking price...would love to see even a quick pic.

It has a good blonde finish, and sounds like it should. No issues other than the case is not perfect. Tuners all work fine. $1200. + shipping and insurance. I can't post photos unless, I might already have one on my computer. I'll check to see. Thanks, Tommy......

I do have two photos of this Stringmaster on my computer, but I can't figure out how to do anything with them. However, I can play solitaire like nobody's business. Thanks, Tommy......

Ooops! I forgot. I sold that Stringmaster last March. However, I still have two Dual 8 Pro's that I plan to sell. Thanks, Tommy......
