Just received an Adams 8 string resonator from a forum member. Really love the sound. I've decided to leave it in low G C6th tuning and I need some recommendations on string gauges for an acoustic 8 string resonator.

I recently bought a new 22 1/2 " scale 8 string reso from Jim Adams. It is currently in G6th tuning, has great baritone sound, but strings seem to feel loose. Could I just move it up to A 6th and keep same strings? This article says I can. Any drawbacks?

Thanx,
Jim
