Well, after much arm twisting and threats from my wife, I played my pedal steel in front of an audience at church for the first time Sunday night. I played Just a Closer Walk with Thee, using the arrangement from DeWitt Scott's book with a few changes here and there.

Went pretty well, with a couple of mistakes but not a total train wreck. My wife played chords on her ukulele Smile.

I've played other instruments before for the church but never the PSG, and to be honest I was so nervous I don't really know how it sounded!

One thing it did do though was prompt me to buy a leg bag from the PSG store! My GFI came with a nice case but no leg bag and wrapping them for transport was a bit of a hassle.

That is good. Those little mistakes were probably never noticed by anyone except you so don't worry about them and keep on playing.

Yeah, I did manage just to play through them without stopping or slowing down. Just mainly missed a couple of pedal changes even though I've probably played this song a thousand times. One of the main things I bought the guitar for was to play at church on 5th Sundays. I also got my leg bag in this morning from the store here...very nice and very fast shipping.
