Does any one know if all six of the power transistors are of the same value on the sessions 400 ? going to change them, the old RCA ones some are different, 62188 J 7710, 62188 cv 1514, are these of the same value? Regards Jim Goins

Does anyone know if they should be changed after many years of use? Should their values be matched? Upgraded?

LTD 400 power transistors are Peavey# 62188--same as a 2N3773, available here:

Power transistors don't usually "wear" like tubes do, so there's no reason to change them unless you have a problem. BUT if you want to "upgrade" them a more robust transistor would be the ones used in the PV Nashville 400--a MJ15003---it has more maximum power dissipation (250 watts versus 150) and more maximum collector current (20 amps vs 16) and available here:
