For players that want a pro guitar, don't rule out the Carter.
Here's a Carter I bought from a bedroom player. The thing is like new, even under. I moved some changes around to fit me and added a knee lever myself. Carters are bang for the buck these days.

Oh!!!!!!!!!!Wait a minute...By the look of the video, I'm a bedroom player!

They're great guitars. I had one just like yours and wish I still had it or any of the other four I owned over the years.

That D10 has the same color scheme as my Carter S12U.

Nice choice. Wink

I always try and speak highly of the Carters. Bang for your buck.

I do own a ZUM and that will always be #1.

I purchased 7 new Carters when I was playing there guitars. I changed out the bellcranks with GFI and was pleased.

Here's what one player thought of them:

I have two Legrande lll models, one of which I used on Gene Watson's last album. Just for the record, I used a Carter D-10 on Gene's Gospel album and for all practical purposes, I can't tell a dime's worth of difference, but what do I know?

Bang for your buck is right. The pedal and lever action is very good and so is the sound. Hard to get both in a guitar if you are picky. Carter has both.

I got a Carter Pro S-10 with 3/5 that I use when I leave the house. It's a 2008 model that has the quadruple raise/double lower changer. It sounds great and just the right size and weight for backing singers. I'll leave the C6th work to the heavy duty jaw droppers at the steel conventions. Not too heavy and not too light. Perfect travel companion.
