Hi everyone.

Sorry b0b, I couldn't resist listing my prized S-10 Mullen recently acquired from Mickey Adams last year. I'm posting this mostly as therapy, because I need to find things to laugh about lately.

For those of you who don't know yet, my home and studio were destroyed in the Thomas fire that completely ravaged Ventura and Santa Barbara counties last month. One of the (many) casualties of this fire was my PSG, which I loved, but 20 minutes of evac time was not enough to get her out the door.

With God's wonderful grace, we have landed well, and we will be rebuilding our home of 20 years. We are upbeat and positive, even though I'll be taking a short break from playing for a while.

Guys, keep me in mind if you are going to be selling an S-10 around Summer time. I should be back on track and looking to buy around that time.

Bless you all and thanks for letting me get this off my chest in my own way.

John in Ventura

Tough to look at John, can't imagine running from an impending inferno. Its great you're still feeling positive about things. Hope you get back to where you were soon.

I'm sorry to read about your misfortune John. I can only imagine how devastating that is. I wish the best for you and your family recovering from this. Good to see this hasn't dampened your sense of humor. I'm sure with your attitude, you will land on your feet.

Man, that’s terrible! Nobody should have to go through that, but your positive attitude is inspiring. Best of luck in the recovery.

I really appreciate the kind words and prayers from all of you on the Forum.
It gets easier every day, and there's something to be said for the rejuvenating power of working with a clean slate.

I'm looking forward to returning to (what passes for) normal, and especially looking towards getting a new guitar when the time is right.

Thank you all again.

PS for Mark who was wondering about the asking price.
I'm pretty flexible, I guess.
How does 100 BitCoins sound? Very Happy

Best to all,

John

You forgot to list the price, lol. Wishing you the best. Hang in there. Our sense of humor are the same. Marine Corps taught me - "don-t give up, quit, or surrender". That has gotten me thru the Medical problems, divorce {while hospitalized, and unable to stop ex {38 yr marriage)) from ripping me off} and many other problems at the same time.

We have never met but this news was as shocking as if we had. My heart goes out to you and the family. As most of your friends here have already said, thank God nobody was hurt. My wife was a nurse in a burn unit and nothing on earth is more painful and devastating than fire.
We will pray for you and your own strength and determination will get you through this. You have a sense of humor and that is so important.
I look forward to your future postings of your new home and your new studio and steel
Sincerely,
Michael

You give the expression "grace under fire" new meaning, and you deserve your future good fortune. My wife's cousin lives in Ojai, and we were just there for Thanksgiving. Having driven highway 150 from Santa Paula to get there, we felt an especially close connection to all those affected by that horrific fire. Fortunately the cousin's family didn't suffer the same loss as you, John. Wishing you all the best in your rebuilding efforts. -David

So sorry John, but your sense of humor is an inspiration.January 8th,1981 I returned home from a gig to find that I had one wall & a foundation left of my home.Lost a steel, some guitars, amps.Worst of all was that I lost a dog.I always kept a couple of changes of clothes in my truck for gigs...All I hsd left was what was in the truck.God bless you & I hope you're in your new hokme before long & back pickin'.God bless
