Ok let me start by saying this banjo is a killer tone machine. I got it from a retired picker who had owned it for 40 years, though it looks like new. It's not. I've owned it a good while myself. It's a Pre War Mastertone RB-3 repro, though the old picker said it was a conversion. I did not think so, but I'd sounds and looked so good I had to have it. As you can see it's top notch build. There are no labels or numbers on this banjo. The tone ring is a Tennessee 20, one of the best ever made, and the rest of it is beautiful, as the pics show, and finished in nitro. As it blacklights like only old nitro does. Again the tone and playability of this banjo are as good as it gets for the money.
This as close to the real deal as you get for a lot less money.
$1795.00 shipped gets it. (SOLD Pending Payment)

Ive had some interest, and questions on this banjo. All I can say is this. I'm not an expert on banjos. Ive had it looked at years back, and some said it was a Gibson, some say its a really high quality repro. I do know this for sure. I'm asking what I paid it, and Its a serious tone monster. I know enough to know it was not a cheap build, as the pics show. Someone is going to love this banjo. Its that good.

Nothing about it looks to be authentic Gibson vintage parts, but that doesn't mean necessarily that they ain't newer factory parts.
Either way, this is a GREAT price on this banjo. Gotta be at least as good as a new one and looks to be better quality overall.
Somebody needs to grab this up quick!

I'd get it if I had the cash. Maybe I can find something to trade you Orlando.
