Ive inherited a set of George Ls pickups, supposedly a 10-1 and an SS.
The pickups are not marked in any way. Any idea how to tell which is the 10-1 vs. the SS?
Both sound good.
Thanks!

I would see if I could find the specs on the 10-1 and SS for ohms. Put a multi meter on the pickups and see what the ohm reading is.

Steve FWIW, I asked this question little over a year ago and got responses in this thread from knowledgeable members David Higginbotham and Jim Palenscar.

Thanks guys, that helped. I think David nailed it , and the original owner agreed he thought the 10-1 was the darker of the two as well.

They are mounted on the MSA modular bases, so any markings on the underside are hidden by the bases.

Thanks to all.
