Do any of you have any experience with rechargeable pedal board battery power packs, like the Volto or MXR DC Brick? Are they reliable?

Tom, I had the Volto when it first became available. It works great with low-draw pedals, but with Strymon pedals or similar, it drained the battery in about 2 hours.

FWIW i'm now using a Cioks power supply that while not battery-powered, is designed to fit under a Pedal Train Nano.

Thanks. I am definitely also considering the Cioks unit. The last thing I need is for a battery pack to die 1/2 way thru a gig. Not fun.

I'll second Ian's comments on the Volto. It is great and has good life -- I tested it and got bored and quit at 5 hours -- for low draw pedals. Reverb & digital delays, not so much.

Time out.

".....rechargeable pedal board battery power packs, like the Volto or MXR DC Brick?"

There is a rechargeable version of the MXR DC Brick?
Link please.

FWIW, in the latest issue of Guitar Player there is a review of a power supply that is either rechargeable or USB powered, I'm not sure which as I merely skimmed the article.

I have a Big Joe Lithium Power Box, for digital delay that takes about 160mA it delivers 10 hours playing time.

Ooops. I stand corrected. The Brick appears to not be a rechargeable battery.
