A friend of mine who doesn't play steel, was telling me about a player he heard in Woodland, CA in the mid 70's, who was totally awesome, but doesn't remember his name, only the band name. Anyone know who this might be? -- Marc |

Chris Ivey - Didn't you do a stint with them around then? I know there was another steel player too (who also played guitar) but I can't seem to get the name past the tip of my tongue just yet... |

I also remember him- matter of fact I went over to yak with him one day in Sacramento and he gave me a notch filter for my Sho Bud- he used to "scat" while he played- was hummin the notes on the mic whie he played a solo ala George Benson, etc- pony tail- nice guy- will think of the name~~~~~~~~ |

Nice to see Chris Ivey’s face pop up. I miss him. As for Ray, I lost track of him years (decades?) ago. I’d sure love to know what he’s been up to. He’s a brilliant guy. |
