Hi Folks,
I have a 5 inch magnet on my Peavey Scorpion speaker ( Peavey Bandit).Im told the Scorpion also came with a larger 7 inch magnet.My local music shop has a 7 inch magnet for sale.
Will it fit my scorpion and if so what benefits if at all can I expect .

Hi Dave, I don't think there would be any advantage in changing magnets as the voice coils are rated for a set amount of power handling capability (watts), and that wouldn't change with a larger mag. The magnet would fit, but other than adding additional and unnecessary weight, I doubt you would hear any difference at all.
