So glad the SGF is online again! Thanks bOb! I've just found this quite unusual modulation in a Tom Jans song (at 1:45):

He decides destination is F, so why not launch from a C?

Doesn't matter much what goes in between (Bb, Ab, who cares?).

Hadn't heard of Tom Jans before now. He recorded with Lowell George, Sneaky Pete and Weldon Myrick, among others.

But I'm quite sure you've heard "Loving Arms" before Frank, his most well known song. It begs for pedal steel.
