Since this is a lap steel or dobro item I am posting it here. I have no concept how to use this and have had it my gizmo drawer for quite a while. I apologize for forgetting what the name of this is so help me out?

Best offer over $35 by Dec 12, 10:00 pm EST and I’ll pay shipping. All funds go to the SGF.

Easy--

That's a combination finger gym/forearm hair smoother. I believe it can also be modified to do 98 other things, all of which I've forgotten.

Good luck!

Axtremity Pedal Slide, introduced in 2015. Original price: $159.99. I don't think it's available anymore.

Personally I think that thing is pretty darn neat. Even neater is that guitar the guy is playing. Very unique guitar. Can't say I ever saw one like it.

Way cool. Is it the right-handed or left-handed model?

Too bad it doesn't have a round nose. It's definitely good for adding single notes (above the bar) to make suspended chords, rock-blues vamps, etc. It's not ideal for smooth playing, in my opinion, but it's does things other bars can't do.

For mine, I tapped a couple of 8-32 holes in a solid brass, "normal" bar and making that switch was elemental. I will say it's really neat for a couple of very specific things - like a 5-6-b7-6 kinda boogie thing, and upper level 9ths, suspended 4ths etc. on and off... but it just won't DO normal entirely. Distracting, but I'd bet somebody, sometime, may haul off and go all monstery. I LOVE bar movement, contrary to the "I'm trying to play a piano" style. It would also be nifty to route(?) out a channel it could slide in. I'm glad I HAVE it... IYKWIM. Cool

One aspect of it, which I think is imperative, YOU CAN'T DROP IT. Yay! I don't think dropping your bar, shooting fingerpicks about is cute. It's a screwup. OK well maybe I'll just MAKE myself stick with it and NOTHING else for a few days here.

Addentum: I saw this video was actually doing that boogie woogie thing at the start:

Was sharing some beers with Howard R last night and naturally he has one of these things. He said he put a roll of pennies on the inside of the bar to give it some weight. His opinion was, it was a very cool gimmick but would requires serious practice time to get used to it.

Tempted but, didn't I get into playing lap steel to simplify my life from my pedal steel? Shocked
None the less it's a great device and he plays it real well. Whoa!
