I have a gorgeous, super clean 1948/'49 Rickenbacher S/NS lap steel that's in just stunning shape: ALL the white dot fret markers are intact, all original, including the tuners, and original 40's "sausage" leather handle case. This is a wonderful example of an early U.S.-made electric guitar. And yess--that's the original finish (just a few headstock string fine scratches and some wear on a couple edges), just like it rolled out of Adolph's shop 70 years ago.
The pick-up is nice and strong, pots are clean, and there's a good range in tone (enough to produce that "wha" sound, if you're so inclined). Plays wonderfully, too.

***I also have a 1940s Bakelite (Wartime Rick Model "B" Panda) lap steel for sale if this isn't your cup of tea. It's in even better shape than this one if you can believe it, with no scratches on the white metal plates. Comes with original (1940s) hars shell case. PM me if interested***

I want this steel to go to a great home. I have the self-same steel listen on Reverb for $1550, mostly because I don't really want to sell it to a stranger (I will for that price, tho). Anyway, thanks for taking a look. You have a nice NS yourself, so it's a real compliment!
