Hey folks,

Wanted to see what players are using these days, for REVERB
digital, solid state analog, tubed, rack, pedal.

Whats gig-able and 'the road' worn worthy. Light or cumbersome but worth its weight in gold.

The old workhorse, Fender Tube Reverb unit, the Boss reverb pedals, or the standard reverb in a Fender amp.

Always wanted to give one of them a go. I use a 63' Princeston sometimes its got nice tube break up when i'm up around 7 (good for the small gig) but the trade off is no reverb just vibrato.

Bet they make a killer combo.
What year is it?

The Old Fender Reverb is a 1965, given to me when I bought my â€˜64 Princeton Reverb from a good friend down in East Texas for $1500. I wanted his old â€˜61 Strat but I couldnâ€™t afford it. Iâ€™m kinda sad he was selling all of his gear, but he needed money, is gettinâ€™ old, and it was just collecting dust. I had the Princeton recapped, put an Emenince Rajin Cajun speaker in it and use it for guitar.

For my set up I use a few different amps depending where i'm playing or what kida crowed I need to be able to sonic push through.

63' Princeston white knob series amp. Tone reminds me of early Buddy with Ernest Tubbs playing 'nails in my coffin' Check it out on Youtube if you've haven't great grit.

Peavy Session 400 early model. All around great loud steel amp, can really dial in the frequency. Lots of color to it and awesome reverb.

68' Pro Reverb (Drip edge) model (Thanks to Chris T) super sweet sounding amp its got a great shiny tone, totally get some crying tones out of it and some surf too.

Currently i'm using a Roland Jazz Chorus 60 I like it, light, tight solid state sound good reverb. My Session is on the bench and the Pro I like to only really use at the studio, but I use it in a pinch.

EFFECT : I use MM4 Line 6 got a great slow Leslie sound on it I've dialed in and many other chorus / phase types. Boss tuner, Goodrich 400 optical volume pedal. Holiest Grail Reverb love the parametric EQ sliders so much definition and versatile.

Roland Space Echo has been a labor of love. Almost back to gig mode. I bought it busted, and being 40+ years I've replaced the 40 year mark parts. Since Ive owned it. Totally one of the best delays. Good conversation piece too. Lin6 delay comes close, but not really.

I blend the amp reverb when I can to layer my presence and attack or if the song call for it. But always looking for more reverb gear.

Hi Aiden! I have a few reverb pedals you could check out some time. Wet, Flint, Digitech RV7, Holy Grail... I have my eye on the Empress Reverb. Thinking about adding that and/or an H9 to the pedalboard. Maybe a bit much for just reverb but I often need other warbly, shimmery, backwards type sounds for background pads.

That Empress Reverb looks like a lot of fun and expansive in terms of how much you can tweek the definition. That's why I dig my Holiest Grail Reverb. Simple, and so many options. The Eventide looks smaller and looks good on pedalboard space too.

Normally a '63 Fender outboard unit.

But If I need something a bit more compact and very good sounding I have a Van Amps Sole-Mate. It's big pedal that is a solid-state unit with a small spring tank inside. It's a fairly warm sounding unit - I was surprised that it sounds as good as it does, and I like using it just like the Fender unit - plugged into the amp input.

It's *much* better sounding than combo amp reverb IMO.

I recently picked up a van amps sole-mate. It sounds great but does require a special ac power supply. I'm going to grab a wampler faux spring to have as a backup.
