I am so happy that our organization received this award.
I wish that I could have been there, but someone had to cover the steel picking job that night. hehe
"From Roger Crawford,
This past Saturday was a great night for the Georgia Steel Guitar Association. We were inducted into the Atlanta Country Music Hall Of Fame! Founded in 2003 with the mission statement of "To bring steel guitar enthusiasts together for the purposes of interaction, promotion and recognition of the steel guitar's integral contribution to Georgia's music development past, present and future".
It's been a labor of love, and without the hard work of officers, staff and one of the finest staff bands in the country, it wouldn't have been possible.
We have been fortunate to host shows that feature great players from across the country and showcase some of the best recording and touring professionals in the business.
And it is our priveledge to honor Georgians who have made significant contributions to the steel guitar with our Legends award.
Please visit us at georgiasteelguitar.com and like us on Facebook!"
Only one thing missing from this picture, ME. hehe
