"In The Jailhouse Now", Leon Russell from his album Hanks Back. This is the second intro - there are two versions of the song on the one track. The first features dobro (Tut Taylor?) and the second is faster, and with pedal steel. There are three different steelers credited on this album (Curly Chalker, Pete Drake, and Hal Rugg (also listed a second time as Harold Rugg). But the tone sounds to me like Curly Chalker. Perhaps someone who knows more can confirm or correct me.

"second intro" starts at about 2:50
One thought, after playing it a little: the one note on string 1 may actually be on string 4, fret 9.
If there is much interest in this, I might try tabbing the solo out as well. _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |

I can't confirm anything about the record. However, my money is on Hal Rugg playing that cut.

I found this site today, and thought I might resolve the mystery of who the steeler is.... But this song was a "bonus track" and lacked credits. However, it does list credits for the other songs on the album except the other bonus track: "Hey Good Looking".

Thanks, Douglas. I'm practicing your tab now. I'd like to see your ideas on that solo.
