Does anyone have info on Gerald "Buster" Magness out of Sand Springs, Oklahoma who played a triple-neck Rickenbacker for Johnnie Lee Wills and Merl Lindsay & His Oklahoma Night Riders?

Thanks in advance.

I found his obituary a year or so ago.

Born 1923; deceased 2011.

I do not have any early pictures of him in jpg format, but I'm sure there are some floating around in books or magazine articles.

He played on the Wills original version of Rag Mop. That's him on Lindsay's Safety Pin Rag. He takes an extended ride on the Wills transcription recording of In The Mood.

Thanks, Mitch! I just met his grandnephew so I wanted to try to find out more about him. Great player!

Youtube only has Johnnie Lee Wills doing "Rag Mop". Did Bob record it too?

I don't think Bob ever did it, but Leon did. The song was on everybody's lips for a while in the early 50s.
