At the moment I keep unearthing interesting items. Imagine what it is like to discover an unopened carton/box of vintage guitar bars, sixy or seventy years young??? the firm that made them in Sheffield England now make Tuning forks!!

Still in original packaging. It was like opening the safe of the Titanic. I will keep one for the collection and let the others go. £10 each plus postage where ever you are I will give the usual fund to the forum when they are gone.

Nice score - they look pristine.

Mostly I only use that shape bar - and I have several already - when playing in a full acoustic steel in A low bass and am trying to sound really really "vintage". It works best for me on those solo pieces from very early Hawaiian guitar books.

But you guys that want to try this shape steel, well, it's a good deal.

It might also work well for folks with certain shaped hands or other hand issues, as they definitely use a different grip than my bullet bars.

Thanks for sharing.

To be honest I prefer a bottleneck as have hands like a Navvy, but I have a collection of steel related bits & Bobs and they fit right in.

Around half of them have found new homes via this forum and the others via a uk forum.

They have certainly ignited interest, so let me know when they arrive and you start to relic them yourselves or put them in a glass case...

I am in contact with the guy who cleared the unit where these came to light so if there is anything else I will let you know.
