Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley are on the Buddy and Jim Show (my favorite show) on Outlaw Country this week. Here's the sched:
http://www.siriusxm.com/outlawcountry/weeklyschedule

Rob Ickes talks about how playing with Trey has freed him up to mess around more on lapsteel (instead of just playing dobro), and he goes into how much he is blown away by Jerry Byrd, and how accurate his slants and intonation were (it blows his mind). This is a topic that comes up here, and it was really interesting to hear Rob talk about how much he's enjoying playing lapsteel, and that he has a nice collection of old steels.
All very pertinent to the many threads that I've enjoyed here on the forum.
