Thinking about going to Dallas this year for change. Been to Phoenix show the last 3 years. Would like to hear from some of you that have been before. _________________ Emmons Resound 65 D10, Zum hybrid, Sarno Revelation |

I went to the show last year. Got to see Sarah Jory. This years feature is Lloyd Green. Plan on being there for that. Unbelievable show. You will love it. |

Keven, you will love the show. It's big and lots of vendors with many demo booths. After 25+ years of the the St. Louis Convention this is the show to attend. |

I went once, back in 2001, and ordered my new Carter there.
They usually have a class/seminar the opening day that you'll probably want to attend.
If you are going to go, get your room reserved NOW. At some point the hotel fills up quickly.
There are a couple of overflow hotels, at least one of which is walking distance right next door. They may be slightly cheaper. |

I've been to many a St. Louis convention but never been able to get to Texas...but I want to.
So, when you say featured players, is this different from the ISGC where there are many top players rotating short programs throughout the event rather than a featured player? |

There are 54 slots. Players rotate out every 30 minutes with a 10 minute allowance to get the player off the stage and get the next on. It is a great show. I have attended many down through the years and never left disappointed. |

...so it's basically the same format as the St. Louis ISGC shows... |

Same format but a definite Texas influence. A few local performers not usually seen at other shows and (in my opinion) the song choices have a Western swing feel to them....no surprise there! _________________ Sierra S10 (three!), Peavey 112 and 115, Benoit dobro, Beard Model E dobro, Beard Roadophonic, MSA Superslide, Dean Nickless custom dobro |

...Ok, now I see the promo for Lloyd on the website. Will be a steel guitar player's treat for sure. A legend of gigantic proportion. |
