I have a GFI S12 U Ultra about 5 years old.
It has a GeorgeL E-66 pick up. That was the factory standard then.
It took some adjusting on my amp to get the sound I wanted but I am happy with it now.
If someone comes up with a better sounding pickup I may have to change mine too.

I agree with Warren.

I had a GFI Ultra SD10 and put a Telonics 409 pickup in it and, to me, made a difference for the better. The 409 is a 10 string pickup (I'm thinking). There is a Telonics pickup that I believe is the same concept as the 409, but has a different number for a 12 string steel.

Speaking of the 409, I just put one in my Mullen RP and I really like it! I haven't even messed with the adjustment screws yet. Nothing wrong with the Mullen pickup, I just like trying different things, but to my ear, I like the Telonics.
