b0b's D6 Tuning

I like this tuning concept for sure,,but I was thinking,,,,would it be easier to play country (old honky-tonk country) from the 6th tuning,,,or smooth C6th from a 9th tuning,,,,seems that approaching smooth C6 swing stuff is more common from an E9th,,,but b0b's D6th approach makes sense. I think the universal tuning is approached from an E9th direction. And Reece's Bb6th uni tuning approaches country from a 6th direction,,, Opinions?
