Hi Stranger

A visit would be great. Jerry Gleason is talking about coming up as well, maybe we could do "a thing". ...

Jerry Gleason is a wonderful steel guitarist as well as jazz guitarist...he sent me an early copy years ago of a cd he was making...blew me away on both instruments...I would love to be a fly on the wall and see all of that talent at your place...hope it happens !

Yes, Jerry is super talented . He and Andy Depaule are coming up today. I sent an email to Tony, but I may have your old email address Tony, still not to late to get on board.

Hey Todd, it was great to see you today and catch up, hang out, etc. I'm really happy with the new bar. That 13/16 diameter bar is the perfect bar for me on the 8 string. Exactly the right diameter, length and weight. Hope to see you again soon, and maybe do some playing next time.

Todd, my 3/4 X 3" bar arrived today, and I am totally amazed at how smooth and slick it is. Very comfortable to use, and excellent tone and sustain. Now I need to start thinking about one for my pedal steel. Thanks very much, George

I got a 13/16 x 2.75 white bar from Todd this afternoon. This is a really nice bar! Same size and 5.0 oz. weight as I'm used to. Great look, feel and tone. And it's going gigging this weekend.

I've been remiss: I got my 3/4x2-3/4 bars a few weeks ago and have been enjoying them so much. They fill the void left when Tribotone went out of business. I love these bars: they are noiseless, have a fabulous, warm tone and are easy to hold on to. Thank you for another high-quality product, Todd

I just ordered one. I have two of Todd's guitars ( a D10 console and Joaquin Model S10 Lap) and if the bars are anywhere near the quality of his steels they will be perfect.

Thanks Todd !

Hi Tim,
I made some prototypes of a "rail" type bar. They took quite a bit to machine out. My biggest issue was getting the proper weight in there.
I'll try and dig up a few photos.
Glad you like the bullet bar.

Hi Todd,
And for any other forum members considering these bars.
Got that 7/8" X 3.25" one from you last month and really like it a lot.
The weight is perfect.

It is very smooth gliding over the strings.
The tone is warmer than my favorite stainless steel bar but has as much sustain and possibly longer sustain... Not sure how that could be measured, but it sustains as long as I'd need. I love the warmer tone it gives.
Also very easy to hold, so a tad better for hammer on's without slipping.

I did find the back edge a little sharper than I found comfortable so I sanded a very little more round over there and polished it and now feels really nice in my palm.
That may not be for everybody....
Another thing is the recess in the end is "Just Right" and very nice for the thumb when doing slants.

All in all a very nice bar that is fast becoming my favorite... Like everything you do, it's a beautiful display of your top quality work.
Thanks for all you do. Very Happy

Hi Todd. Got my 1 1/8 & my Custom bar ( exact replica of a "Red Rajah grip tone bar" ). Just great!! I can`t say enough. For all you guys looking for one of those "grip" bars , let Todd build you one. I had lost my red bar and was looking for one to no avail. Todd was gracious enough to make me one. I will try to post pics. Just perfect. Now my BIG bar. Another work of art. I had asked for the biggest one he could make. 1 1/18 I LOVE it. I think I have every tone bar made, and this one is the bomb. Smooth as silk, great tone. Not to heavy. Sorry for the long post. Thanks again Todd. I will order more in the future. Dave

I used my new Clinesmith bar on a 2-set gig yesterday, and I liked the feel and tone of it very much.
It really glides across the strings!
