| I installed a set of locking Sperzel tuners on my SKH Legrande, one of my better decisions. As previously stated; seems not only to reduce string breakage but also facilitates string changes as well. Once you lock down the string into the tuner, it only remains to deal with the changer end and we all know how entertaining it is (with standard tuners) to attempt to hold tension on the string while simultaneously maneuvering the ball to line up with the pin or slot in the finger! |

| Was it difficult adapting the Sperzels to your key head? I have a Zum with Schaller tuners which are very tight and difficult, I've tried every suggested method to loosen them up--no luck. Problem is, they are made for PSG without the side screws-they attach to the key head via the jam nuts along the shaft. I'd love to upgrade if it's possible. |

I looked at those--they have the side screw--won't fit a PSG. There was a link to the Hipshot locking tuners. Real nice but they won't fit either.
Brian, that Carter looks great! Is Jim Flynn building the undercarriage? I've visited his shop and seen his work, amazing. |

Project looks great, nice job for sure. Is the gel pad permanent? I bet a custom made leather pad would match up really nice if that was your desire.

Thank you Mike. The gel pad is temporary. It's just a computer keyboard pad. I have used these for years. A great déterrant against wrist corpel tunnel problems. I would use a leather one if I could find one.

Nice! On second thought, a leather pad might stain up pretty fast from perspiration and all. I'm not sure what most pads are made from since I'm more of a D-10 player. I bet there are plenty of guys here on the forum that could chime in and possibly make you one too if need be.
